Do any of you use the 1945 Father Lasance New Roman Missal??? My fiance bought me this one for Christmas and I am exciting on starting to use it. If you do use this, what do you like or dislike about this missal??

I don’t, but I’ve heard a great many positive things about this missal. It’s the choice among my friends that don’t want to shell out nearly $70 for the Angelus Press missal.

As a note, though, if you use it at the TLM, you may want to include St. Joseph’s name in the canon (unless it’s been updated for the 1962 missal). Also, a few readings will be different (but this is kinda minor).

Congratulations. It’s a good missal, Mine is the 1945 version but includes the Pope Pius XII changes (Assumption, etc.) on page 7.

Hope you have a chance to use it often.

I have a few of Fr. Lasance’s books in PDF format. They are in the public domain and are listed on books.google.com

If you have an e-book reader you can just read them directly on there.

The one I have is “Prayerbook in goodness.” Very solid Catholic book.

I have the same one and I have no complaints. 👍
