Can anyone say anything about the St Joesph Daily missal, do they have the propers in latin or the prefaces?

No they don’t. Just the ordinary of the Mass is side-by-side Latin-English. Tough to follow the Mass with this missal, IMO.
 
I have a variety of pre-62 missals and only a couple of them have the propers in both latin & english. My personal favorite is the Angelus Press Daily Missal (1962)
 
I have several missals from pre-1962. My favorite is the St. Joseph Missal; this is the one that I use at mass. Propers are in English only. This reallyseems to be the norm in the older missals.
 
I don’t think it is hard to follow an EF Mass with the St. Joseph’s Daily Missal. I have multiple EF missals, and my St. Joseph’s is my most treasured. The Baronius Press missal was too busy for me, so I sold it. I have a Marian Missal that is all in English, but I never use it because you can’t make any responses with it. Finally, I have a Stedman’s Sunday Missal which is really neat because it slips into a jacket pocket very nicely. However, it tends to be too much like a cookbook for me.

I do not have an Angelus Press missal, but from what I hear it mirrors the Baronius Press missal in many ways.

I do hear great things about the St. Andrew’s Missal as far as liturgical education about the Mass goes, but I’ve never looked at one.
