Missals

Hi,

Is anyone aware of Sunday or Weekday Missals for the Ordinary Form of the Mass that incorporate the Ordinary and the Propers of the new translation coming out in November?

I think publishes are focusing on the ritual editions first since they need A LOT of them. Then they will publish the personal missals. Monthly publications like Magnificat, etc., will have the new translation in it come their Advent issues.

Some stores (online and regular) are carrying items that give backgrounds and other items on the newer translations but I have not yet seen new Missals. I think they will be available in November to coincide with the new translation use starting the first week of Advent.

We run a book store in our parish and haven’t got any advance sales notices for personal missals yet.

I have the older St. Joseph set of Sunday and Weekday missals. I noticed that on aquinasandmore.com you can get a set of five cards for the confiteor, the gloria, the creeds, and the sanctus/angus dei. These can be slipped inside a current Missal, in the Ordinary, and referred to. I figure that the readings aren’t changing, and in six months I’ll have the responses memorized, anyways, so there’s no great rush in getting a new one.
