Missed Mass

Hi
I missed Mass today because my car is broken and my parents were using their car to get groceries today. Can I still take Communion at Christmas Mass? The only reason I am wondering if I can is because I knew yesterday that I wouldn’t be able to go to Mass…Did I commit a mortal sin?
 
If you honestly couldn’t get to mass, I don’t see how it would be a mortal sin.

The only thing I was worried about was the fact that when I went to confession yesturday I knew that I wouldnt be able to go today.
 
If you had no way of getting there, whether you knew a day in advance or not, really makes no difference. If you are worried about it say an Act of Contrition with a sorrowful heart and promise to get to the next available confession time.
 
Ok thanks for the help! I thought everything was ok I just wanted to besure befor I took communion at Christmas Mass

The next time that you find yourself in this situation, ask the priest for a dispensation before hand.
