Did Jesus use as a reference any of the missing books of the Protestant bible?
 
**Yes, Jesus & the New Testament writers referenced the Septuagint, the Greek language version of the Old Testament written by 72 Jewish scholars, ‘rabbis’ (6 each from the 12 tribes), 340 times but only 33 times from the Hebrew canon (which rejected the 7 books & Jesus Himself!)

While the Jewish scholars & some Christians questioned the authenticity of the 7 books, the dead Sea Scrolls contained ancient Hebrew copies of some of the disputed books.

The bottom line is the Catholic Church has had 46 books in the Old Testament from the beginning without change!** The Catholic Church is the one who defined which books would be in the Bible, so why would any reasonable person question 7 books? If they question those 7, then all 46 are questionable & the Bible alone reasoning is ridiculous!!!

The corollary, incidentally, is also worth noting - there are OT books that Protestants accept that Jesus doesn’t reference.
