Missing family member

Hello! I have a prayer intention that I have been praying for for years but have never asked anyone to join me in praying. In 2000 my grandson was discharged from the Navy submarine service in Connecticut. He left his base and never came home to us, or to his mother and stepfather in Iowa. No one has been able to obtain any information about his whereabouts.
A few weeks before his discharge he had come home to Louisiana to see about his birth father who was dying of advanced diabetes (he has since passed away). He was hesitant about leaving to go back to his base and that caused a serious argument with his mother and brother who were afraid he would go AWOL. He did go back in time but the incident caused a rift in his family. I have prayed every day since then that he would be well and love God and realize the whole family is longing to hear from him. He doesn’t have to come back, just call. Will you please pray with me that we will hear from him? It’s been 8 years but I haven’t given up hope. My Jesus, return us our prodigal son if it is your will!
 
Dear GG…somehow I missed your Post …will be keeping your grandson in daily prayer that he will return to the family safe and well…Barb

I pray for your grandson to return, you sound like a loving grandma. I am a grandma too and I know how things can get strained in families. I pray for this loving grandma who is trying to keep the peace in the family and has never forgotten this loved one. Lord she knows in her heart that you are ever watching over her boy because of her faithful prayers and faith that you as our heavenly father keeps His promises. I pray that she continues to have the strength to believe and not falter.
I pray for the young man that all is forgiven and those who love him just want to know how he is and will open their hearts and arms to him when he should even just call, dear Lord we ask in your precious name. I pray he stays safe.
I pray that the peace can flow in the family and healing begin no matter how or when this comes about that the healing tears may flow and all love the agape love the real selfless love that we bear one anothers burdens with start now in this forum post. May this be a hand reaching out into the hand of our Father. Reach down now Lord wherever he may be and for a moment bring an angel to quicken his heart and mind and bring his conscious back to the love of his family.

As a parent of three sons, I recognize how difficult this must be. I am praying for his safe return…and the reconciliation of all members of your family. May St.Joseph protect you!
 
Thank you, thank you, thank you, all you thoughtful and prayerful friends! My daughter, James’ mother, has issued an “all points welfare bulletin” through their sheriff up in Oregon. The way it works is that if he ever has any contact with police anywhere in the US, he will be told that his family is concerned and does he want to make contact. We’ve been waiting hopefully for that to take place. In the meantime, St. Anthony, please help us out! You led me to my lost diamond, my glasses, my keys countless times. Plead with Jesus to find my dear grandson!
If any of you need my prayers, I will be more than happy to help you storm heaven!!
