Hoping somebody can clear this up for me on what the Church actually teaches.
I heard this from a friend when she didn’t go to receive Eucharist. She was told that if she missed Mass on a Sunday she couldn’t receive the Eucharist until she went to confession.
From what I understand (for the practicing Catholic) the only reasons not to receive Eucharist is if you’ve commited a mortal sin or are not in Communion with the church (meaning you purposely go against the teachings without planning on changing)
