Paul, we can say that we love God, but if we can’t give Him an hour of our week to worship Him at the Mass, where His Son is sacrificed on the altar for our sins every Sunday, then we have to ask ourselves, “Do we REALLY love God?” After all, “Honor the Sabbath to keep it Holy” is one of the Ten Commandments. Jesus says in the New Testament, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” Don’t be afraid to learn what God wants from you–He will help you grow little by little into the person He wants you to be. He gives us everything we need to obey Him if we only ask. Go to Confession and you will receive much Grace and Light-- it will begin to open your eyes to the Truth. Then go to Mass every Sunday. Take a few minutes out of your day to read God’s Word (I read the Daily Mass readings–an Old Testament Reading, a Psalm, and a New Testament reading). A Catholic Bible will have the explanations of the verses at the bottom of each page. Also, take a few minutes to pray…thank God for all you have, praise Him for who He is, and ask Him to help you love Him above all things and your neighbor as yourself. Pray the Hail Mary and ask Our Lady to help bring you closer to Jesus. Just start there. And see if your heart doesn’t begin to open up to the point where you want to know EVERYTHING about Jesus and about your Faith!
