I’ve been looking into what jobs/career path I want to follow (17) and it hit me, some of the jobs/careers wouldn’t allow me to go mass regularly.

Some of the careers I’m looking at would require me to go out to sea for a month, or away from civilization for month(s) and it’s regular not just a business trip here or there.
Is it okay to miss mass that much?

Over the years of my priesthood, I have interacted with various remarkable men whose life work was in the navies of their countries. I have fond memories of them…and appreciation both for the work that they did and for the sacrifices they had to make.

The law cannot demand what is not possible. One is excused from the obligation when it is not possible…such as in military deployment or combat or being on sea patrol in the absence of a Catholic chaplain. That said, one would still tend to one’s spiritual life and spiritual exercises to the best of one’s ability. Catholics on the International Space Station, for example, confront unique challenges, too.

I would suggest visiting with your priest, or a priest with whom you feel a rapport, as you begin to discern what type of work the Lord is calling you to.

An excellent resource for you is the Apostleship of the Sea. You may wish to reach out to them as you ponder your future and consider the various prospects.

If I remember correctly, the law doesn’t demand the impossible, so the above answer is perfect. 🙂
