I wanted to go to my parish’s 10 am mass for Christmas. My priest understands that my transportation is limited to days of obligation. I have no car. My mother wrecked hers and my sisters car has broke down. We now all have one vehicle. So I am told no as to going to days of obligation for lack of transportation and he said that was beyond my control. I was gotten up to no avail this morning to go to mass this morning. I have been decreasing paxil a medication I take and could barely get up. With the opportunity to go and missing it would I need to go to confession before going to take the eucharist?

Don’t worry: God knows.

I advice you speak to the priest about the specific situation. However if it’s beyond your control, there would be in my understanding no mortal sin.

May Baby Jesus always smile to you in your heart!

Why don’t you contact the parish you attend and see if there is someone that lives near you that could help out. don’t beat yourself up over circumstances beyond your control.
