since it’s November, I hope more people would pledge their prayers at mtep.com

Eternal Father, I offer You the most Precious Blood of Your Divine Son, Jesus Christ,in union with the Masses said today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church,those in my own home and within my family.
Amen.

Our Lord told Saint Gertrude the Great that this prayer would release 1,000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was later extended to include living sinners as well.
A decade will take about 3 minutes to say. This means that you can intercede and secure from God the release of OVER 60 SOULS A SECOND!!

Great post! I always say this prayer after my daily Rosary, but I didn’t know we can say a decade of them - now I most certainly will! 🙂

I don’t know why, but everytime I try to go to that website, I get an error message and it shuts down my connection. Gotta love technology 🤷
 
i will take a look at the link…i already am devoted to praying for sinners…the dying…and the holy souls…( i pray for everyone living and dead simply because it is works of mercy towards others that we will be judge on when we die, and they will obtain mercy for us…and plus i would like to help as many people as possible with my prayers and to help them reach heaven)…so i will gladly take a look…

if you don’t mind me asking how many prayers are you supposed to pledge…

is the pledge for one day?..how do you make a longer pledge?

Nobody knows when and how many souls are released from Purgatory. Only God knows that. We can pray for those in Purgatory but we certainly do not know that 1000 souls can be released when a certain prayer is said. The Church does not teach this.
 
Ok. That was what was stated in the website. No one is forced to believe that 1000 souls are released everytime it’s prayed.

It does not hurt, though, to pray this prayer.

ANGelicPeace, you can pledge 5 prayers, for example, if you have recited it for 5 times. the pledges can also be for more than 1 day.

I think if you ask St. Gertrude to pray it with you, that it is more likely that a greater number of souls will be released. This is how I pray this prayer–with my prayer buddy, St. Gertrude!
