Looking for advice from those who are in or were in (parents) Mixed religion marriages. My wife and I have been married for just over 10 years and are still seperate religions. I, Catholic and she Lutheran. How do you deal with the clear and distinct differences in faith and how do you keep from the frustration that can be caused by same. She is very into her faith and I am in mine. The intensity and love for our differnet faiths can oftentimes be frustrating because we are not sharing it with each other, mostly our faith communities. Any advice to keep the faith alive!

We’re you married in the RC church? If so she would have agreed to raise the kids Catholic. My wife is also Lutheran and I RC. But since we were married as a Catholic sacrament she only comes to mass with me and the kids n

No, not if they’ve only been married 10 years. The Catholic has to promise to do everything in his/her power to have any children baptized and raised Catholic. The non-Catholic doesn’t have to agree to it, just has to be informed of the promise and its implications. That’s a difference between the 1917 Code of Canon Law and the 1983 Code.
