Hello,
The Catholic Church has been VERY firm with me and my mixed marriage. It has enforced it’s doctrine in my situation, understandably. If there’s a way for you to link to my post through my user name then please look at my long post about marrying a non-Catholic when I was foolishly not practicing my faith. I’m not allowed to participate in the Sacraments of the Catholic Church right now. It’s rather complicated & it would be easier if you were to link over to my posting as evidence that in my situation the Catholic Church has enforced its’ doctrine.
Please remember that nobody is perfect, though. There are people in the Church, every Christian church, and churches are full of sinners who are trying their best (hopefully), through the Grace of God, to sin no more. I’m not excusing sin by saying this. In the scriptures, we are commanded to be perfect. But, expecting everything & everyone to be 100% perfect 100% of the time is unrealistic. It’s impossible - we will always fall short of perfection because we are human. It goes without saying, that this is why God sent his only son, Christ who died for us and on the 3rd day he rose in fulfillment of the scriptures…and will come again in Glory to judge the living and the dead. He did this to save us from our (human) sins. I apologize if I’ve strayed too far from your original question into too many concepts & generalities but these are things I felt others may benefit from seeing, too. Again, read my post and you’ll see that in my situation the Catholic Church has been firm with me and I respect it for that.
God bless you and peace be with you always. Kindest regards.
