Mixing rules of Churches in Communion

Minute, and not so minute details are different during the liturgies of the different rites (Anglican, Latin, Eastern) within the Catholic Church.

And even the recent translation changes (and also with you vs and with your spirit) caused slight inconstancies with a congregations responses or actions.

What of someone would consistently respond the wrong way or in the rite they were more comfortable with, but couldn’t participate in because it was too far away?

The different rites are all in communion with each other, so it’s valid, but is it bad to act contrary to the rite you participate in, with actions typically done in one you like better?

In the Mass we worship as a group. Ideally the group makes the same response, the same gestures, etc. Everyone makes mistakes, so a flubbed response is simply a mistake. Doing it deliberately is something else.

As @SuscipeMeDomine says, you do your best to adapt to the rite of the church where you’re worshiping. If you don’t get it word perfect the first time, maybe you’ll do better next time.

I’ve been used to attending the Ordinariate Use most of the time since I converted in 2015 and the (similar) Book of Common Prayer service before that. As I have moved and don’t have access to the Ordinariate Use any more, I have now started attending a regular Novus Ordo Mass, which is a bit of an adjustment. But certain things are highly engrained such as the Creed. What I know by heart and have said for yeard is different. So I just quietly say what I know and I’ll probably keep doing that.
