Mocking God? Your thoughts

Can I get your opinion on something please? I posted a joke on my Facebook account that says this ‘Biden & Kamala are sent by God” ‘why did he run out of locusts?’ A friend of mine stated that this is mocking God. I really didn’t think of it that way at all. Is this mocking God?
 
Hmmm perhaps his sense of humor is not as developed as the one GOD has?

Biden and Kamala need our prayers. Prayers are better than certain kinds of jokes.
 
I don’t think it’s mocking God specifically. However remember we are called to love others, even those whom we disagree with.

That does seem to be true, at least for Joe Biden who is in favor of abortion rights. But maybe he is personally opposed to abortion, but is against laws which prohibit such?
 
This is not such an edifying note on which to end CAF, now is it?

can a person be anti-death penalty but okay with the state laws allowing the death penalty? why be against it?

the bishops are clear, catholic politicians are called to overturn the law and restore justice

but they don’t kill 600,000 babies a year in the USA and 50 million a year worldwide.

we thought child sacrifice of old was bad and now accept it and defend it, history will be our judge

each fetus is someone’s child, may God have mercy on their soul and the soul of the people involved.
 
You posted a fine Republican joke. It has nothing to do with being a good Catholic, or being a believer in God. It is simply a joke. A person who is not a Trump supporter will find the joke offensive ; it is not funny, no joke. On the level of just viewing it as a joke, I can chuckle and know it is funny. On the level of being fed up with Right Wing Craziness, I would dislike it and decide it is offensive. Saying that it is mocking God is perhaps extreme, unless that was your actual intention. If a woman murders her one year old child she is subject to being sent to prison for murder. If a woman aborts her child, should she face the same penalty of imprisonment as the mother who killed her one year old child?

the penalties for murder should apply since it is the same child who is being killed, just earlier.
 
No I don’t think it’s mocking God, but more the other two.

It sounds like your friend is hypersensitive, which is very common these days…
 
How could this possibly be construed as a mockery of God? It seems obvious to be a mockery of Biden/Harris. I don’t understand your friend’s logic, unless he or she considers Biden/Harris to be prophets of God…? Is there more context to why your friend thinks this?
