Thoughts about this heresy? I was earlier wondering why God exists in three persons. I couldn’t think of a reason. So I prayed, searched on the internet ect. Here is what I found.
-The Sacred Scripture teaches this to be wrong.
-The Sacred Tradition teaches this to be wrong.
However I still could not get it out of my head. Here is the explanation I thought of in why God exists like this.
-St. John says this: “God is love.” (1 John 4:16) Since God never changes He must always be love. However He must have someone to love. Who better than His Son? So it would be impossible for God to be working in modes.
-God always knew that He would sacrifice His Son. This has a double purpose. God the Father suffers in the death of his Son. God the Son suffers in death. If it was only God the Father then He would only feel the pain of the death. He would not feel the loss. No one feels a loss after losing themselves.
-God must have a purpose, and that purpose is love. Without the Son there is no love.
Despite this I still wonder why God exists like this. I would appreciate anyone who could help me with this.
