Modern Babylon= america, "Leave Babylon literally"

Howdy, IM wondering a few things…

we’ve all heard different theories about who or what Babylon is. Thats actually not the topic i wish to discuss per se. IM going to provide a link: jewsandjoes.com/characteristics-of-end-time-babylons.html yes, I know i know, he aint catholic, hes a self defeating sola scriptua guy… dont care. There is a lets say “better” example of this veiw but cant find it… suffice it to say that those who hold to it, dont hold to one particular verse as the sole support for it.

my question:

are there any good online articles, that could almost verse for verse refute the presupposition in the title? I realize that the belief of the church may be different, but at this particular juncture me telling the person “this is what the church says, you must submit” would only turn them farther away from the church.

I at least need enough solid “scripture and plain logic only” proof for any other view of who Babylon is to cast enough doubt on the title.
