Is this order a valid catholic order? It seems to have some relations with masons.

From the bottom of the page you linked:

“The Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the United States of America is the national governing body of the Knights Templar, a Christian-oriented fraternal organization and an integral part of the Masonic Fraternity.”

Notice the “masonic fraternity.” I would say definitely not even remotely acceptable by the Catholic Church.

If it’s Masonic, then no they are not a Catholic group. There are orders of Catholic Knights however. Obviously there are Knights Of Columbus, but there are also the Knights of Malta and i’m sure there are others. But none are named Templars.

Just to add to this: there are several groups out there that are not masonic and claim to be legitimate chivalric orders. Unfortunately, that cannot be further from the truth.

Some of these groups claim that they are resurrections or continuations of the medieval Order while others do not. I hope I don’t have to show why the groups in the former category are complete fantasies.

In short, if you want to join a legitimate chivalric order, there are plenty to choose from yet none are easy to join. I have some knowledge on the matter so, feel free to PM me if you want.
