The church does not have modesty guidelines. And since you said the shorts do not show anything, I don’t see the problem here.

If you don’t like it, you don’t have to date them, as straightforward as that sounds.

Is it possible that your imagination is showing more than the shorts are?
Modesty is a worthwhile virtue for sure and something to look for in a potential marriage partner.

The issue is more that you seem to think that length of shorts is a reliable indicator of virtue. You figure out what someone’s values are by actually getting to know them, not by applying some kind of “jean shorts” test.

Yeah, because the length of shorts may just be an indicator she thinks her legs look fat in them rather than any sort of modesty standard.

Clothing is not a great way to determine virtue.
