That’s kind of a broad and sweeping statement. How much respect would you have for someone you know is lying to you to get your confidence so he can swindle you?
Well, I may not respect that person that much, but I wouldn’t tell anyone that they are a mother****** who is going to rot in hell.

That poster was inappropriate…and also disconnected from the reality we endure when Muslims try to tell us what didn’t happen in Christianity.

I find it very disturbing how angry some Muslims can become, but totally disregard our sensibilities when they deny the truth about Christ.

Muslims need to realize that to deny the reality of Christ also affects our sensibilities and sense of the sacred.

Furthermore, as no Moslem can comment on my post, I do not think Muslims can understand our Catholic understanding of Sacred Scripture, let alone realize that they have been most aggressively indoctrinated with falsehoods about Christ.

Christ is the final prophet. He is King and High Priest. Christ fulfills the Law. And in regards to the Covenant of the Land, which has been given to the Jewish People, we as Christians are called to enter the Kingdom of Christ which is already here through Christ.

I pray for the Moslem people to turn away from the passions of anger and pride, and to pray more earnestly to seek the truth.

From my reading of the Qu’ran (though it was some time ago) I don’t think that it ever says that the Jewish and Christian scriptures are corrupted. I’m inclined to think the idea that the Gospel and the Tanakh are corrupted came later when some Islamic theologians realized that neither of them towed the Qu’ranic line.
I could very well have started with Mohammed. Anyone can stand up and claim to have a message from God. The trick is to determine who does and who doesn’t and is just trying to fool us. So, the first test of a new prophet is: does what he says conflict with prior revelation? Since he had not read either the OT or NT himself but had only familiarity with their stories, naturally, there will be some discrepancies, so his explanation for them is that prior scripture is “corrupt”, although he might not have used that actual word.

The next question is, why does Mohammed rely on corrupt scripture to make his case?

I want to know what Muslims think about this verse.

BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER

1 Peter 1:25
