Can anyone provide any info concering an alleged miracle performed by Mohammed,

One of the miracles of Mohammed (peace be upon him) was the feeding of a battalion of his soldiers to the full with some scrap foods that multiplied miraculously.

I can’t find any information on this alleged mircacle on the internet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

De Maria

Muhammad never acknowledged any miracles except for the Quran. This is probably one of the many “miracles” invented after his death by his followers after a Christian bishop pointed out those performed by Jesus. See here.

Thanks. Just what I needed.

Don’t forget to check THIS site out to learn about Catholicism.

What is being referred to is the Muslims’ first attempt at making pilgramage to Mecca. The Muslims came with 1,000 or so lightly armed men ready incase the Meccans decided to attack them, on the way the men’s supplies had run low and complained that they were becoming weak and very thirsty. Whereupon Muhammad (pbuh) collected the mens buckets, and gave them back filled with food and water.

The Qur’anic verses quoted in the AnsweringIslam article aren’t at all relevant, as they’re referring to something else entirely; miracles such as the above were only performed for those who already believed in order to ease their suffering. What the Qur’an is referring to in those verses (all revealed in Mecca long before any of these episodes) was when Muhammad first started preaching in Mecca, and the idolators mocked him and told him “if you’re a messenger of God then show us miracles”, and the Qur’an replies that performing miracles for them is to no avail, they’d already decided that they were going to deny him by accusing him of being a magician or possessed by demons and the like. This in no way negates that Muhammad *did *perform miracles.

Muhammad fed a battalion indeed…a battalion of maggots.

Today, muhammad(pbuh) is rotting at Medina and feeding a battalion of maggots.

Please, if there’s anything about Islam, its lies. Its rubbish.

When you question the muslims why they know Ishmael’s mother’s name was Hagar, they’ll tell you they refer to biblical scripture. But when you quote them scripture against islam, they tell you biblical scripture is corrupted. When you ask them why muhammad does not perform any miracles, they quote you their hadeeths and say that muhammad performed miracles in them, but when you use these SAME hadeeths and ask them why muhammad taught terror in them, killed men and raped their wives and looted caravans, they tell you those hadeeths are not reliable.

THAT MY FRIEND, IS ISLAM. ISLAM THRIVES ON CONFUSING THEIR BELIEVERS.

Our God however is a God of Order and not of confusion.

Muslims are somewhat wary of continually showing miracles to people who refuse to believe.

And if their turning away is hard on you, then if you can seek an opening (to go down) into the earth or a ladder (to ascend up) to heaven so that you should bring them a sign and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have gathered them all on guidance, therefore be not of the ignorant … Al-Qur’an, 006:035

In other words, it does not matter what signs are shown to them, those who choose not to believe will never be satisfied by the truth of the Qur’an or other miracles in Islam.

Correct guidance is only given to those who choose to believe and have Taqwa i.e. conscious fear of Allah:

Had We sent this as a Qur’an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: “Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?” Say: “It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!” … Al-Qur’an, 041:044

What’s the point in saying this? Catholics do not believe in Mohammad. I think the OP is only interested on information regarding the so-called miracle.

Correct. Signs and wonders are not given to a perverse generation bacause they will not believe anyway. But they were done to show God’s glory. If a prophet is of God, he will glorify God. Miracles are some of those external signs.

Mohammad on the other hand, was so scarce of miracles that could be attributed to him. Given that many of what he did runs contrary to the previous prophets, and notably Jesus, his prophethood was certainly unusual. Muslims certainly have much faith to believe in this man.

God bless you.

Which are the Quranic verses referring to this alleged miracle?
The Qur’anic verses quoted in the AnsweringIslam article aren’t at all relevant,
I believe they are quite relevant.

In contradiction to the Quran. The Quran says you are a warner only, not a provider, not a healer, not a miracle worker of any sort.
Perhaps.

But when you combine the fact that Mohammed provided no miracles with the fact that no one else saw the angel nor heard Allah speak to him and with the fact that Mohammed taught the wisdom of lying in occasions of war and to keep peace and to lie to one’s beloved wife, then I believe there is not just a seed of doubt, but full bloomed skepticism is in order.

On the other hand, the Catholic Church has a trail of miracles 2000 years long… But Muslims dismiss them out of hand although many have been studied and documented scientifically.

So, the charge that “for some no evidence is ever enough” certainly is a two edged sword.

Sincerely,

De Maria

Continually? You have not even one.

Because Islam has a tendency to make unverifiable claims. Just like Mohammed, you people think we must believe anything you say without evidence. But we have no “blind” faith in Mohammed nor anything Muslim. Neither Mohammed nor any true believer in Islam is trustworthy since you believe in lyjng in circumstances such as war, to maintain peace and to your most dearly beloved wives.
Correct guidance is only given to those who choose to believe and have Taqwa i.e. conscious fear of Allah:
That is true. But the Muslim Allah is not the true Allah. The true God is Yahweh, God of the Christians.

Simply Mohammed’s way of getting out of a tight fix. Mohammed never proved that he spoke to an angel nor to God.

I dont think Muhammad ever performed any miracles during his life.

In one of the quranic verses, it says that Mr. Pbuh did not perform any miracle like what the other prophets did.

But on the other source, it is speaking about Mr. Pbuh splitting the moon.

And then recently the muslims retaliate the event to Neil Armstrong that took out one stone when he was on the moon.

None of the prophets performed any miracles, except those which God performed through them. Maybe this is what muslims mean when (and if) they say Mohammed didn’t perform miracles?

Errm… I am not sure but I think those words about he wouldnt perform any miracle was in the koran so it was not what the muslims mean…

I may look at my source again. 😉

The only miracle that muhammad(pibuh) ever performed is the miracle of barbaric pedophilia and leading millions of morons by their noses to their eternal damnation.
