Mohammed's Ascension to Heaven versus Jesus' Ascension?

They believe Allah took him up bodily into heaven with Him after he had appointed his twin (VERY Gnostic view…) to be crucified. What I think in reply to this is in the Gospel of John in Gethsemane when the scribes and slaves ask which one of them is Messiah and He uses the Divine Name to reply to them (I AM). If He were going to appoint a scapegoat Gethsemane would have been the perfect place to do it but He didn’t, but idk, that’s just my whole view. Take it or leave it.

You make a point. To me, Muhammad was a man who tried to bring good teaching to his people in his time, and that is it.

It’s probably just a poor choice of words on my part, honestly. I meant to say Muslims believe Jesus will return to earth–so he is not, right now, in heaven until the end of time, because he will return, and die. And then be resurrected, after which point we might assume that nobody dies.

Dear Sister,

If Jesus you say will return to earth–so he is not, right now, in heaven, then why do Muslims believe that Jesus was ascended into heaven? Perhaps you don’t mean what you wrote, or I just misinterpret your writing.

Maybe I’m still not being clear.

Did Jesus ascend into “heaven” according to Islam? YES
Is Jesus in “heaven” right now, according to Islam? YES
Will he return according to Islam? YES
Will he die according to Islam after his return? YES
Will he then be resurrected like everyone else? YES

I’ll just stop there. No complex phrases to be misinterpreted, I hope.
 
No “AgnosTheist” wasn’t humiliating Jesus, in fact Islam is the one humiliating Jesus,:mad: when we find in our Hadiths that Jesus will come down to the earth to pray behind Sheikh in the Mosque, and then get marriage and stay 40 years, that what I really call humiliating & insulting, how come we downgrade Jesus to such very low level, how come Jesus is sitting on the right hand throne of God, then we come and say he will pray behind Muslim Sheikh and marry, Jesus didn’t marry when he was here in the first time and now after 2000 years he would come to perform this earthy instinct!

Shame on such religion who completely contradict previous religions.:banghead:

Also shame on Islam, which manipulates Jesus even from His birth as a messenger of Islam serving Mohammed. Again, shame on Islam, which humiliates Jesus through a miracle of illusion for the sake of saving Him from the cross and presenting Him as an incompetent messenger that fails to establish the true religion of Islam on earth.

Nothing wrong with marriage, but the idea that Allah will allow the believers to practice fornication with women created for sex in Paradise is rather disturbing and indecent.
 
That has nothing to do with Sam777’s remarks: expressing disgust at the concept of Jesus (pbuh) getting married. So don’t change the subject.

Christianity is the only major religion on the planet which has such disapproving views on marriage and sex, Muslims on the other hand consider marital sex to be Godly. Put simply Muslims do not talk like this, the thought wouldn’t even occur to them that Jesus getting married would be a problem. This guy is not a Muslim and isn’t very good at pretending to be one either. I really wish some of the Catholics here (though I acknowledge a few of you have made it known that they’re suspicious) would stop backing him up when he’s clearly being dishonest in calling himself a Muslim.

ROTFL! Christianity is the only major religion on the planet that has such disapproving views on marriage and sex??? Yes, such diasapproving views on marriage and sex make Christianity a religion that likens the marital union between couples to the spiritual union between Christ and His Church!!! More, the same reason makes the major churches of the West and of the East regard marriage as a sacrament instituted by Christ Himself.

What we Christians object to is not marital sex, but prostitution in Paradise, which is endorsed only by Islam among the major religions on this planet.

What about that post do you not find clear? It couldn’t be more obvious that the Muslim belief he’s so outraged by is Jesus getting married. Only a Christian would find that so ‘humiliating’, ‘insulting’ and ‘downgrading’, yet the guy claims to be a Muslim.
