Mom withholding son visit - anguish prayers

Please pray for my son, my ex-wife and for me. First, my son who will soon leave the direct influence of his mother and her negative environment to go to college. Please, Lord, hear my father’s prayer for his well-being, release from the mental and emotional alienation impressed into him and for positive, Christ-centered relationships in his new environment this fall.

For my ex-wife, Lord, You made and love her, and it is likely not me to help return her to You; but, please Lord, may she receive, by Your chosen means, direction toward you. I know all things are possible through You.

Lastly, Lord, bear my broken heart, today especially, as it appears I will be again denied time with my son. Thank you for Your presence, always, in sublimating my desire to lash out at her, to reply with indignity to indignity, to respond in retribution to malice. Lord, may I know that Your guidance is all I need and I have done all I could, for my past marriage and for my children, including my son. Please guide my heart and hand in service to my adult children, and guide me in fairness toward any legal recourses before me. Amen.

Dear Jesus, Please have mercy on this father and help and strengthen him in his distress. Please bless and guide his son who is embarking on a new phase of life and also bless and protect his ex-wife and bring her back to You if she has strayed. I join in this father’s prayer as stated in his first post. In Jesus’ Name I humbly ask this. Amen.

**I will go dressed and armed with the weapons of Saint George so that my enemies, having feet will not reach me; having hands will not trap me; having eyes will not see me, neither with thought can they cause me harm.

Firearms will not reach my body; knives and swords will break without touching my body, ropes and chains will break without tying my body.

Jesus Christ protects and defends me with the power of His Holy and Divine Grace.

The Virgin of Nazareth covers me with her sacred and divine mantle, protecting me in all my dolors and afflictions.

And God, with His Divine Mercy and great power, is my defender against the evils and persecutions of my enemies.

Glorious Saint George, in the name of God, extend to me your shield and your powerful arms, defending me with your strength and your greatness; and may my enemies underneath your feet become humble and submissive to you.

So Be it in the Power of God, of Jesus Christ and of the Divine Holy Spirit. Amen
