This is going to sound like a stupid question, but have you explained to her the Church position on gay marriage, and the various arguments against it morally, even from natural law?

Does she understand that what she is doing is wrong?

If you’re addressing the OP, they’re long gone. If they were even real in the first place.

From the originial post, it seems the lady in question is a fallen away Catholic and she does understand the Church’s teaching on homosexual acts.

She is in need of loving disciples to help her come home.

Re: your last paragraph, adultery and fornication are actually less grave on the scale of sexual sin gravity, as they are not acts against nature. But I know you being an obviously well formed Catholic, you already know that. Just clarifyin’ for the folks watchin’ at home.

“Respect, compassion, and sensitivity,” not “approving, enabling, or affirming” the corresponding sexual activity.

Which things I have never, ever, not once suggested.

Can you share a poem with us?

Wish I could, but we’re anonymous here. Maybe when I win that Pulitzer, lol!

Honestly, it would be nice to see some sensitivity and compassion.

When I’m at Mass, I don’t know who is carrying what cross. I don’t need to know. But I’m sure they’re all carrying a cross. Just like me.

Could you accept that the same goes for people posting and reading here?

Of course. We don’t get to leave our crosses in the nave. In fact, they’re heavier in the marketplace than in the Mass.

#400. Beat ya, CajunJoy!
Well, it was 400. The count went backwards. Kinda fishy…

All those mortal sexual sins lead to the same place, sans repentance. Dante kind of took Aquinas’ sin classication schemata to a new level, yes?
