Monetary Gift for Baptism?

What is the customary monetary gift to give when your child is baptized? Is this given to the priest or to the parish? (I live in the midwest, if that makes a difference.) Thanks. 🙂

Either to the priest or the parish, a “thank you” note/card, you can include $20 or $25. A gift certificate to a favorite eating place is also a nice thing. He enjoys it and it saves the parish money.
 
In our parish the donation is given to the parish. The parish then gives the preist a stipend for celebrating the sacrament.
