Money in Heaven

First off I would like to say Happy Thanksgiving!
And I just got done watching its a wonderful life.
It brought up something that I’ve been wondering, will there be money in heaven? I hope not because it seems like money messes up a lot of things here on earth.

So if anyone knows please share your thoughts.

I’d say no, any more than they had it in the Garden of Eden.

Money exists because of the need for effort to keep alive; to do any more than just survive requires collective effort, which requires economic exchange. When we will receive life directly from our LORD, there will be no toiling effort, and no need for an economic exchange.

I’m certain – no, there will be no money. In fact there is a post here about “rendering unto Ceasar.” Jesus viewed money as of another domain, not His domain.
 
Heaven will be so unlike anything we’ve known here on Earth that it’s useless to speculate. As someone put it to me once, our heavenly lives will be to us like being a butterfly might seem to a caterpillar. It is impossible for a caterpillar to imagine flight. It is impossible for us to imagine heaven and what our lives there will be like. Any human colouring if the experience of heaven falls ridiculously short of what we can expect…
 
Remember what Jesus tells us about the rich fool and heaven:

Parable of the Rich Fool. Then he told them a parable. “There was a rich man whose land produced a bountiful harvest. He asked himself, ‘What shall I do, for I do not have space to store my harvest?’ And he said, ‘This is what I shall do: I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones. There I shall store all my grain and other goods and I shall say to myself, “Now as for you, you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, be merry!”’ But God said to him, ‘You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?’ Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God. Luke 12:16-21
 
Where on Earth would we spend it up there? To buy are way into heaven? I doubt there are stores or shopping.
 
You couldn’t take money with you, as it would be left in the hand of your dead human body (or on your closed dead eyelids).

So no, it won’t be there.

heaven is the fulfillment of all desire and you have everything necessary for your happiness

of what use would money be?
 
Would that be shekels, drachmas, sesterces, bezants, pounds, US$, AU$, euro,…???🙂
