A well-regarded priest who oversaw the seminary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre for five years announced in a prayer service Friday that he was stepping down immediately, stunning faculty and students.

Please read the thread and the full story. The question was “Is he leaving the priesthood or just his position at the seminary?” Yes, he resigned his post at the seminary, but the fact that they say he went “on sabatical” suggests he will remain a Priest.
