So that’s why I keep committing the same sins over and over again. It has nothing to do with concupiscence or my own selfishness, weaknesses, and limitations. It’s because I saw a “Monster” can at the grocery store.

Glad that mystery is finally solved. 😛

Right. I’ve often wondered—but never heard answered—how exactly do these “hidden symbols” influence people? Do people see the Monster logo and start thinking, “Boy, I have an overwhelming urge to renounce Christianity and follow Satan”?
That is why they are so effective, LOL Seriously, you have never heard of subconscious programming, advertisers use it all the time, many times, in very subtle ways, so the person never even realizes they are being targeted with some type of marketing…but it works extremely well, there is plenty of proof of that. I am a field marketing coordinator for a large gas station chain, you would amazed at the science of marketing and how appealing to the subconscious works so well.

Plus, you do know the CIA actually coined the term ‘conspiracy theory’, its very interesting reading as to why they did this.

I was a Psych major in college. I understand how people can be manipulated via marketing. What I don’t understand is how someone can be steered towards the devil because they see three lines next to each other and someone is able to draw some tenuous connection between that and “666”.

Showing an ice cold Coke being poured into a glass in full HD with surround sound before a movie can make people thirsty and encourage them to go get a drink. That’s marketing. Looking at a picture and having to explain to someone why the random curls of hair actually signify the devil—that’s a conspiracy theory. There’s no factual basis to believe that it does anything.

If there is a factual basis, I’m open to hearing it. However, in these stories, it always seems to boil down to people drawing connections between an image and something nefarious (e.g. devil horns, 666, etc.) and then saying “See! It’s evil!”. But—even if these symbols were intentionally inserted exactly as the insinuations imply—I’ve never seen any evidence that they actually do anything. We see the devil represented in Christian art, too. That doesn’t draw people to Satan, does it?

It could make one wonder if Satan actually chuckles that some give him power he doesn’t harness…

well, I think we can see the direction the world is heading, so who knows what all went into ensuring that happened. We have to remember Satan is MUCH more intelligent than any of us, so naturally he would be able to devise seemingly harmless little things that ultimately play a part in some larger agenda. that none of us can recognize…drawing as many people away from God as possible is the ultimate goal, it takes large and small things to make sure that happens.

Its kind of like all the illuminati symbolism used in music videos and other popular things with young people, many people argue about why this is done, some say it harmless and not really meant as anything, but if we look back in recent history, we can definitely see how popular music and entertainment has lured plenty of people onto the wrong path so to speak. While its impossible to say with certainty, this use of symbolism had a part in it, its being done for a reason, and since I recognize the level of the enemies intelligence, I can pretty much safely assume he knows more about how to achieve his goal than I do.

For sure. Even here on CAF it seems that some people have more faith in the devil than they do in God.

Yes, Satan is clever. I’m sure he is happy to see us fret over things we don’t need to fret about so that we are distracted from what he is really doing. 🤷
