Not sure if this is the right section to post this in or not but here goes…
I know that EWTN and several other online Catholic stores sell Monstrance necklaces/pendants. And I was thinking of getting one, mainly because I believe that during my 1st Eucharistic Adoration was when my true conversion to the Catholic faith came. It was in March when I was about to make my 1st confession and my parish was having Adoration and I went and I truly felt Jesus there and I felt that I was truly home then, more so than all through RCIA and even at the Easter Vigil.

Anyway, back on point, I just wondered if any of you own one and wear it or just what you thought of it?

Also, to put this out there I know that most Monstrances I’ve seen are gold, but I was thinking of getting the silver pendant to wear. Would the silver one be ok to get?

Thanks!

I’ve got a gold one that my dear hubby got me for Mother’s Day last year  I really, really felt drawn to getting a necklace like that and loved wearing it almost all the time. Now with a 3 month old baby, I wear it less because of the spikes around the monstrance–and hubby got me a gold Miraculous Medal that is much more baby-cuddle-friendly. There’s nothing wrong about a lay person wearing a monstrance necklace, and if you feel drawn more to a silver one, then go for it 👍 I haven’t seen silver ones either, so you may just have to go with the gold if you can’t find a silver one.

Congratulations on becoming Catholic :)!!!

Thanks!

I didn’t think there was anything wrong with it but I just wanted to get some views on it. I just feel so much closer to Jesus when I go to Eucharistic Adorationa and I felt that if I had a monstrance necklace I would keep that feeling with me all the time whenever I looked at it.

Thanks!

You probably will 🙂 I did!

Be ready to explain what it is while you are wearing the monstrance pin/necklace. The people who signed up for a weekly time received monstrance pins when our parish started perpetual adoration. It can definitely start a conversation.
