Has anyone ever seen the Pet Psychic on tv? She supposedly hears animals speak to her, and relays their messages. I would put her and Sylvia in the same boat. Anybody that really believes what they say, has serious problems.
Pet psychic seems somewhat harmless…but Sylvia is scary to me

Hey, I’m somewhat of a Pet Psychic myself. Whenever my puppy goes by the door and whimpers, I predict that she has to go to the bathroom. My predictions always come true.🙂
Seriously, Sylvia is no good. The guests on Montel ask her such simple questions, such as “Will I have a serious relationship soon?” Sylvia responds, “I see you in a serious relationship within the next year.” She could predict any time, and they can’t dispute her. I wish someone would ask a hard question, such as, “Who was my best friend in the third grade?” Let’s see her try to answer that one. The only one I dislike more than her is that John Edwards (I think that’s his name). He stands in front of his audience and plays a guessing game until he hits on something. It’s too bad that people are drawn to this stuff.

John Edwards was proven to have microphones in the waiting room. Also plants (people working for him) in the audience acting as regular audience members asking for his help.

My sister and two of my cousins just went to see John Edwards in Jersey this past weekend. She came back all excited. “Oh, he’s so good…” etc… I couldn’t help but roll my eyes and she asked what my problem was (as if she didn’t know) and I said, “you know what I think about that stuff.” She was like, “well actually he explained and said that he was Christian and people think he’s involved in the occult but it’s not like that…and some lady in the audience was Catholic and she said that there’s a difference between the two…” I was like, " what is the occult then, if it isn’t trying to contact dead people and predicting the future?" She didn’t have an answer. I made a couple points from basic Christian theology and she didn’t have an answer, just shrugged them off. My mom is the same way. (she’s the one that thinks Sylvia Browne is so amazing) I have such a weird family.

Oh and by the way one of the longest “readings” or whatever he did for the people in the audience, my sister found out later she was the stage manager’s sister…hmmmm…wonder how he got her information…

And what a rip off. Tickets were…get this…$200. He certainly makes good money off this schtick he does.

Here’s Sylvia’s website…this page is about her religious beliefs. Apparently she was raised Catholic  and taught in Catholic schools for years. Yikes. If you scroll down to the middle of the page there’s more about her group Novus Spiritus, and thier theories about past lives and mother and father gods. It’s so sad how people are sucked into this nonsense. I really think it’s dangerous what people involve themselves in and I wish I could make my own family realize this.

From her web site.:bigyikes:

Novus is Sylvia’s monument to God, a forum to express the joy and love that is God - with no fear, no guilt, no sin, no hell, and no Satan. Through Novus, Sylvia gives the world a means to understand God, Life, and the reason for Being. His plan, creates a New Spirit and a new understanding about life. Each individual must make that decision, for we always say: **“Take what you like and leave the rest behind.” **

Well, that definitely appears to be what she has done, doesn’t it? :nope:
