On Saturday, July 18th I arrived in South Texas from a month live in with the Felician Franciscans in New Mexico. I had so much fun with the sisters!!! They were all so warm and inviting.

They were praying that I would have a pleasant experience. I felt at home in no time. Driving to the motherhouse, I felt anxious, sadness, darkness. All this went away that same evening. While there, I was present for 3 jubilee celebrations and a retreat. The retreat master was a Franciscan priest from Franciscan University of Steubenville. After that week in retreat, I was sent to live a house in Albuquerque for a week with 3 sisters that ministered around the area. I went with one to parish where Sr. Edna works. It was a small, poor parish in the middle of a poor neighborhood. There I got to do a little parish work. But the best part is that I got to meet many homeless people because the church has a lunch program. Close to 300 lunches are given out every day to the homeless. I thought that was the most amazing thing to see. The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal are familiar to the parish there and I even got to meet them at their Bible Camp

Later, Sr. Edna took me to āOld Townā where by coincidence I got to attend a Mass celebrated by the Friars at San Felipe :bounce: After a week, I went back to the Motherhouse, and for the next week and a half, I was put to work at the food pantry. It was hard work and a little chaotic but I survived. It was amazing to see all the families that are helped by that one small pantry. I surely will miss the sisters especially the cute elderly ones

I will be accepted as postulant on August 16th. I will be flying to Chicago on the 20th and then we will be driven first to Polonia and then to Pittsburgh (

long trip I know). There are two other postulants entering with me: a 21 year old, me 26, and 30 year old. I am excited because it is a young group. Please keep us in your prayers and we will make sure to pray for you all also
