ETERNAL FATHER
I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus,
in union with the Masses said throughout the world today,
for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
for sinners everywhere,
for sinners in the Universal Church,
those in my own home and within my family.
Amen

Almighty Father, please forgive any soul in purgatory whom I have led, caused or encouraged to sin against You.

Friday

O Lord God omnipotent, I beseech You by the Precious Blood, which Jesus Your divine Son did shed this day upon the tree of the Cross, especially from His sacred Hands and Feet, deliver the souls in purgatory, and particularly that soul for whom I am most bound to pray, in order that I may not be the cause which hinders You from admitting it quickly to the possession of Your glory where it may praise You and bless You for evermore. Amen.

I have those little books 😃

They were the very first books I bought on the holy souls and they were the books that got me interested in praying for the holy souls as I didn’t really know about the holy souls or praying for them (or that they can pray for us) until I read those books…now I have loads of holy souls books 😃

Have you ever read any holy souls books by Susan tassone?

They also got me interested in praying for the holy souls! Powerful little books, they are!

I haven’t read her books, but I have seen them. I have read some of Fr. Schouppe, as well as the writings of quite a few Church-approved mystics. Very edifying stuff.

Nice! It’s nice to meet you, too 🙂 I’ll admit that my devotion to the holy souls has been wanting lately.

Generally, my favourite offering for the holy souls is the Mass. At the elevation I like to ask Our Lady to offer her Son on their behalf. I ask the holy souls to pray for my salvation, and for the salvation of my friends and family. Apart from this, I always include the holy souls in my Rosary intention, and I like to offer at least one day a week for their swift entrance into Heaven.
