The Boy Scouts, for one.

This came up in the discussion last year about gay Boy Scout leaders.
Yeah the scouts were one of the two groups that made me post my response. Little League and AYSO are two others. All of them require two adults present with the kids for the same reasons.

The diocesan policy applies to all diocesan employees and volunteers, not just priests.

👍 Not to mention day cares, sports clubs, scouts, brownies, 4H, etc.
Scouts Canada has that same policy. Our diocese has that same policy, adopted at least 5 years ago. Anyone working with children or vulnerable adults has to have a vulnerable sector police check.

Which makes perfect sense. It’s a good policy for protecting not only the kids but also the adults.
