I am sorry for offending anyone I will stop writing in this post… Sometimes my opinions might be too harsh or not even right with most people, but I try to view things through “other’s” eyes and it might not suit many well…

I am sorry once more…

My dear friend was beaten and raped when she was a senior in high school, she had many broken bones and needed facial reconstructive surgery. She kept the baby, went on to marry a good man and have two more children. All three children are loved.

A member of my parish was beaten and raped twice. She kept both babies the first was named Faith and the second was named Hope. When the girls were about 8 and 4, she married a wonderful man and they also had two more children, you can see the whole family sitting in a pew together every week.

Rape is no justification for murder.

Iluvmybabies… you gave 2 examples of women who mistreated their children. Granted, I am sure it does happen, but those children are 1/2 hers too… and 100% God’s.

Do you know that statistics show that women who are impregnated during a rape and choose to have the child are more likely to emotionally heal faster than women who abort?.. in either case, I believe that rape victims need alot of love and support and counseling… maybe that is what these women were missing…

yeah sorry for posting but I just wanted to say that most of the women I knew that did and abused their children were abandoned by their loved ones so yeah that might be the reason why they never got over and had a normal life… 😦 Sorry again…Ok I am out…

IF there is a chance they won’t love the child from rape then they should give it up for adoption. Yes, it’s hard to let go of your baby you just gave birth to but if it’s best for the child then doing that hard thing is necessary. My sister gave her first child up for adoption. (I didn’t even know she was pregnant or I would have adopted him…long story) She said it was the hardest thing she ever did but she knows that he has a much better life than what she could have given him at the time.

So, not wanting to give a baby up for adoption because it’s hard to let go of your child is not an excuse for abortion or for child abuse.
