i own a supply house, i was thinking of putting a verse from the psalms on the bottom of the invoces, would that be proper to do, also the employees some times void the invoices and trash them would that be disrespectable to the scripture verse. thankyou

Why not? just be aware that you might offend some of your employees or customers, which could open you to lawsuit, but as a private company you have a right to freedom of speech for the company on the invoices.

I wouldn’t consider it to be. Scripture is about LIFE, not ink on a page. If the scripture reminds one person to be holy when they are making a moral choice before possibly being thrown in the can, then it has served it’s purpose. I don’t see how taking the opportunity to remind people of God could be a bad thing.

In N Out burgers puts Scripture passages on all of their cups and fry trays and they all end up in the trash. It’s not about where God’s word ends up on the paper as much as it could end up in one’s heart. I am not promoting disrespect for Scripture as the intention here is to have many people exposed to it and not to trash it…teachccd

I would not worry about the voiding & trashing too much. As far as doing it at all. Why not? there is a chip manufacture here that puts Bible verses on theit bags now. It has not hurt their bussiness at all. I know some folks that prefer that brand because of it. Personally I can’t get enough of their pork skins :o

There are a couple of companies that do that. In and out, US Plastics, Chic-fil-a and a few others.

Its up to you, just be prepared for both positive and negative results. I have seen Athiest protests against In and Out and Chic-fil-a for them allowing pro-life demonstrations and scriptures on their packages.

Where I would try to steer away from is adding booklets and such. I remember one company I used to order ESD bags from put a jack chick book in with my order, I promptly canceled my account after I talked to them. Also keep with scripture that is not controversial.

An irony is that the government which is supposed to guaranteed free expression of religion is suppressing it, every time they can.

It would be touchy for any company that is supplying material to the government.

When I used to work in downtown Chicago, I had to was about 10 blocks from the commuter train station to my place of employment. There were a respectible number of “Trust Jesus” handpainted messages on mail boxes and alley walls, and such. I was inspired by these there and on highway overpasses and such when I drove in that area.

Those two words are very important I’m sure they help a lot of people.

Go for it 👍

What Psalm are you considering? Psalm 16:8-11 is one of my favorites.

8
I keep the LORD always before me; with the Lord at my right, I shall never be shaken.
9
Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure,
10
For you will not abandon me to Sheol, nor let your faithful servant see the pit.
11
You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.

So have you decided yet?

God bless

psalm 56:3

when i am afraid, i place my trust in you lord.

thanks for your help

How about:

Psalm 137:9
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Or would that be considered politically incorrect?
