Morality on Punishment

Is it more moral to allow someone who has committed a crime to continue unpunished when you know they have committed horrific crimes, mostly against children, or to punish them yourself?

It sounds like neither option would be best. There is a third option that is not mentioned that would probably be more appropriate, and that would be to let the legal authorities determine the justice due to the individuals.

Even tho they go unpunished,it is not permitted to take the law into our own hands.
And also, they will have to face judgement someday.

If we start acting as self appointed judges and juries, you can just imagine where that will go.

Absolutely NOT. That would be both a crime and a sin of grave matter.
