Morality Question On New Age Cosmology Spiritualism

I wasn’t sure if the Question-ability of what I speak of here belongs in the Moral Theology Forum or Spirituality Forum.

Some of the reference Internet links I will give here have me bothered due to the fact that in my Archdiocese Education Centre and Catholic Book Store pushing Catholics to buy this New Age Creation Cosmology thinking, finding their place in many Catholic Education bookstores in numerous dioceses. I find it deeply disturbing from a Moral philosophical and traditional aspect when one considers the great wealth of treasure from traditional Spiritual Classic writers from Saints and Theologians in the past centuries and millenniums in comparison to Modern Catholic Theologians today.

One very outspoken, feminist and highly educated Catholic woman serves as one of the leaders in Catholic Education Centre in my Archdiocese. She holds a masters degree in Culture and Spiritualism from Holy Names University in Oakland California.

I have to ask what part of this University is truly Catholic and how do its teachings reflect the best moral philosophical aspects and traditions of the Catholic Church for the Faithful?

There is great Christian value in the scientific understanding of cosmology, in how God has ordered the universe and earth processes. And then, there is the Sophia Center. What a tangled web.

I personally think that there can be a lot of good looking into these new age type books. To be honest though, they are mostly based on Buddhism so it would be best to actually study up on the original source. There is a whole lot that Catholics can learn from Buddhism, such as how to be more compassionate and how to meditate.

Alas, this garbage is not confined to your good country. It is rife here in Ireland too.
A good priest friend of mine actually dissuaded me from taking a moral theology course in a certain third level institution as such courses include all sorts of wonky “teaching”.
Lunatics and asylums come to mind.
Still, we must not be disheartened. I eventually found the right course and it is full of honest-to-goodness Catholics who wish to do their bit to stop the spread of this hand-clapping, chanting, head-massaged nonsense!
Fight the good fight.

Buddhists are atheists. There is nothing to learn from false religions!
