The moral law is the Justice inherent to the very Nature of God. And since God is unchanging and eternal, the moral law is unchanging and eternal.

Saint Thomas Aquinas: “Wherefore as the type of the Divine Wisdom, inasmuch as by It all things are created, has the character of art, exemplar or idea; so the type of Divine Wisdom, as moving all things to their due end, bears the character of law. Accordingly the eternal law is nothing else than the type of Divine Wisdom, as directing all actions and movements.”
Summa Theologica, I-II, Q. 93, A. 1.

Saint Thomas Aquinas: “So then no one can know the eternal law, as it is in itself, except the blessed who see God in His Essence. But every rational creature knows it in its reflection, greater or less. For every knowledge of truth is a kind of reflection and participation of the eternal law, which is the unchangeable truth, as Augustine says (De Vera Relig. xxxi).”
Summa Theologica, I-II, Q. 91, A. 2.

Readers please note:

These web pages above are **not **recommended sources for Catholic sexual ethics…other areas too are of private opinion or are problematic or incorrect from a theological or canonical view.

Instead seek out sources such as the Catechism of the Catholic Church and books for sale from Catholic Answers.

let me recommend here as well the CAF library. It has a lot of answers to these questions from the OP. Also in regards morality, i think the book, Theology of the Body by HH John Paul II is also a good choice.

“For I am the Lord, and I change not” Malachias 3:6

no, God does not change, and morality does not change, because what is moral is the very being of God, and what is immoral is without God,

we know what is moral and immoral not just by what we have been told, but simply by the effects of immorality, and after all these years, immorality, no matter how big or little, corrupts and perverts us…
