More bad news re abuse crisis

Yes, bad news that must be recognized. I’m a bit struck by some of the detail provided. I saw a name that was born in 1908, so some of this is very old information. Lubbock Archdiocese from what I saw had very very few. There document was a download.

Price Memorial College in Amarillo. Wow, I never heard of this place before. Here is an article on it.

I looked through a few of the lists. Looks like further verification that the problem was largely resolved back in 2002. That is the good news. The bad news is it will not be presented this way. Just as the Pennsylvania grand jury report showed the same thing, that is not at all how it was reported, or in that case how the report was even written. You had to dig through the details to find that.

So where do we actually stand? In this country, and I hope others but do not have the evidence, the abuse of minors by clergy is largely being dealt with. We still have the elephant in the room of the abuse of adult seminarians, which appears to be occurring throughout the world.
