More Liturgical Prancing

Bishop Edward U. Kmiec watches as liturgical dancer Sister M. Joselle Orlando, OSF, performs during the closing Mass of the Sisters of St. Francis chapter meeting. The meeting took place at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Buffalo on July 19.

I saw this stuff last weekend. I cannot tell what it was because I was there as a guest. But my gosh, I just didn’t get it. I watched these “nuns” doing this, thank goodness outside of Mass, and it was so very odd. I just don’t get it. What does it do? Some cloth being spun in the air, who cares. Maybe that’s why the church doesn’t approve, cause it makes NO SENSE.

Like some people think they can sing, some people think they can dance.

Don’t encourage them, is the best policy.

what’s with the bib, senior citizen needs help at mealtime?

I thought CDW and Saramentum Caritatis banned dancing at mass.

It says “during the closing Mass”, but of course the caption could be inaccurate.

**Quite true. A photo in a secular newspaper claimed to show “Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope John Paul concelebrate mass” when NEITHER was wearing any liturgical vesture–even a stole.

Pictures don’t lie, but captions can be mistaken, or worse.**
