My father, whose name is Bob, and for whom I’ve requested prayers recently, now has a life threatening fungal infection. He is currently undergoing a treatment that could potentially cause severe adverse side effects, especially for someone his age (73) and as sick as he is. (He has Acute Myeloid Leukemia and blood counts are quite low putting him in a very vulnerable state). Thank you for your prayers.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

My dear patron Fathers, who greatly helped me during my surgery and recovery, please pray for this man.

I am definitely praying that your father Bob is Blessed by God’s healing touch, recovers and returns to great health. Stay strong.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Bob). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Bob’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayers for your father Bob, for the medical staff providing his care, and for you and your family.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Father God, who holds Bob, his caregivers and loved ones in your Hands, give them strength, grant them healing, give them peace.

Amen.

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.

Praying for your father, Bob…

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity.
O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother. *
  • O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power.
O show us that you are our Mother.*
  • O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands.
Amen.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers. My Dad made it through the treatment with minimal side effects at the onset, then he slept for the duration.l. The staff is amazed as this is unusual.

I keep making separate threads for each new circumstance that comes along with him. Is that necessary or should I just keep adding updates to the same thread?

I wanted to ask for continued prayers as his blood counts are now lower than when he was admitted. And apparantly the infection he has has a high mortality rate. We pray that the infection is stopped and that his organs and bone marrow can handle all that he is enduring. We want to bring him home.
