While browsing the web the other day an came across an article entitled “More than These: a Call For Reformation.”

pccmonroe.org/ecumenism/morethanthese.pdf

I’ve heard some anti-Catholic whoppers in my time, but this one takes the cake. Apparently the Catholic Church (aka the Whore of Babylon) is using the pro-life movement to “desensitize Christians to the blasphemy and idolatry of the Roman Catholic Church.”

Such attacks simply confirm my faith in the Catholic Church. After all, if Jesus himself was accused by his opponents of performing miracles by the power of the devil, we cannot be surprised when his church is accused of the same thing.

The purveyors of this rubbish ought read Matthew 7:17-18:
Catholic Bible - Matthew Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit.
If the pro-life movement is a good thing, then why would an evil church support it. 'A house divided cannot stand," as Jesus told us.

Any comments?

It’s sad to say but sometimes it’s a good thing when pastors go off the deep end a spew this hatred. It was this kind of pastor who led me to the Catholic Church.

This article made me realize how much to pro-life cause has bridged the gap between protestants and roman catholics, much to the author’s disatifaction. Think about how it was like 40 years ago. Roman catholics and protestants called each other all kinds of bad names. Today, the only place I see that is on CAF. Silly papists 😃

I would ask them where they think the pro-life movement started.

We are getting pretty crafty these days, aren’t we? Too bad he caught us…

That’s easy to explain :D:

The CC is sooooooooooo evil, that it pretends to be pro-life; in reality, the CC is very pro-abortion indeed. Which in turn re-inforces its evilness, to make it even more evil; & so on. The proof of this: all those archive pictures…cartoons, sorry, published by Jack Chick. And the recent scandals - of course.

This is one instance of how seemingly good behaviour by the CC is - if we only knew it - a very crafty disguise for evil behaviour. So crafty, that most members of the “Roman Institution” have not a clue just how evil the CC is: the only Catholics who do, are former Catholics, because they are now free of the great Babylon (AKA the CC)

If you believe that, there’s a nice big black helicopter waiting for you at the bridge near the Vatican. 🙂
Any comments?

Rubbish & falsehoods can be posted in good faith. That said, it is sinful not to do everything within one’s power to make sure of the truth of what one says. If the only sources available to someone are unreliable, & the reader does not suspect this, then reliance on them is not blameworthy - as it would be, if he suspected he was reading lies & did nothing to try to discover the truth.

We are **all **at the mercy of our sources, & we are all apt to make mistakes, even in the most favourable circumstances; so ISTM we can’t be too hard on others unless we are perfect ourselves.

This is true- years ago I bought into these lies and accepted them without questioning. So I guess all we can do is speak the truth charitably and pray for the Lord to open their eyes…
