Just that arument alone makes no sense, that Christians were gropping in darkness for 17 centuries, that the keys given to Peter were taken back to heaven until Jospeph Smith. IWhen you undertood what the “Body of Christ” means you would see it.
The restoration argument that your church was built on is foolish, like the man who builds his home on sand.
Two many scriptures, way to many Saints… “And lo I will be with you always until the end of the age” Or “I will not leave you orphaned” if you want me to post them all I will. Its just not one passage, its the whole Old and New Testement. Jesus would not leave His Church…He is the Church, we are of His body, the One body of Christ (Hard to understand if you do not beleive in the Trinity) You need the Holy Spirit in you to come to that.
When you study the foundation that Christ established for His Church all you find is truth. After I was baptized 11 years ago I created the [

http://www.utahmission/).com website because of the truth I had discovered. I clearly saw my fallen nature for the first time, I clearly saw Gods nature, why he has such great love for me, because of His love for Jesus. There is not a better breed of people who can do a better job than Jesus, we are all sinners.
It is my testimony that the LDS church brings false witness against true authentic Christianity. I believe with all of my heart, that because of those within this church they will, and our moving towards Christianity. But for today the false witness against the Church that Christ built remains by word and by deed. If you get a chance read this, it is by our Liturgist here in Northern Utah regarding Missionary work. It is so different than the LDS missionary work, this writing really hits the core of authentic Christianity.

This is from the Catechism about bearing false witness, about truth
2476 False witness and perjury. When it is made publicly, a statement contrary to the truth takes on a particular gravity. In court it becomes false witness.276 When it is under oath, it is perjury. Acts such as these contribute to condemnation of the innocent, exoneration of the guilty, or the increased punishment of the accused.277 They gravely compromise the exercise of justice and the fairness of judicial decisions.
2477 Respect for the reputation of persons forbids every attitude and word likely to cause them unjust injury.278 He becomes guilty:
- of rash judgment who, even tacitly, assumes as true, without sufficient foundation, the moral fault of a neighbor;
- of *detraction *who, without objectively valid reason, discloses another’s faults and failings to persons who did not know them;279
- of *calumny *who, by remarks contrary to the truth, harms the reputation of others and gives occasion for false judgments concerning them.
2478 To avoid rash judgment, everyone should be careful to interpret insofar as possible his neighbor’s thoughts, words, and deeds in a favorable way:
Every good Christian ought to be more ready to give a favorable interpretation to another’s statement than to condemn it. But if he cannot do so, let him ask how the other understands it. And if the latter understands it badly, let the former correct him with love. If that does not suffice, let the Christian try all suitable ways to bring the other to a correct interpretation so that he may be saved.280
