Why me “The reason why many mormons do have great family values and are wonderful people is because of the gospel that they follow. For a mormon, studying the bible and other mormon scripture is a part of a mormons daily life.”

One leads to humility, total surrender to our God knowing that nothing we do can save us.
The other leads to pride, thinking we are clean and that we can do everything that will lead us to salvation. One allows Christ to pick us up, the Cross upon His back in order for Him to carry us home. The other can lead us down a path in which in the end we may not hear the Shepard’s voice. Even Catholics may not here this voice in the end. Everything that Jesus was offered in the dessert would appear to this American Catholic to be good. Food when my family is hungry, wealth and security for my family etc… These things are good are they not? Jesus showed us in the desert how to say no to all of them. Not because they were bad things, they appear pleasing to all of us. The problem was it was not God our creator offering them. What good is it to gain the whole world and then loose everything that matters most? The Mormon Church offers the world only better in the eyes of many who follow its tenets; it is more of a transaction, what you can do to receive it. The Catholic faith offers only the Love of God without a transaction of any kind accept surrender. Study the Catholic Saints and you will see this common bond. This gift of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible is the Diary of Christ’s Church; (Judeo-Christian Catholic Tradition) You cannot take someone else’s diary and inject falsehoods into it, ad to it such as the Mormon leaders do with the New Testament. Such as the wine issue. It is very deceiving to do this, especially with the young. The Bible has to be taught in the light of the Holy Spirit given to Christ’s Church from Jesus Himself, in its proper context which is very sound. If you had an original map of where you needed to go and this Map was altered before you received it in order to lead you somewhere else where Jesus did not want you to go who would you hold accountable for misleading you? What could you possibly gain by following this map?
