I would start off with the story of creation itself - God made man. If God was a man, he would have created himself, which is logically impossible. How would you refute it with the use of scripture?
No they don’t. They believe “the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.” (Eighth Article of the Mormon Faith). And, FWIW, they don’t trust any English translation. And they claim that their Gospel is the same as the Early church.
That’s true. In fact, it is commanded in some instances (such as a levirate marriage - Deut 25:5-10). But it was not common.Claiming that polygamy was practiced in the Old Testament.

Polygamy was practiced in the Old Testament. No doubt. But those were in times of war and Jews were oppressed. And a lot of Jewish men would die. So in order to protect women and continue inheritance with children.with the use of scripture? And they claim that their Gospel is the same as the Early church. Polygamy was certainly practiced in the OT. It was a long-standing practice in most of the cultures of that time. Christians acknowledge that God allowed polygamy to exist, just as He allowed divorce “because of the hardness of their hearts” (Matt 19:8).with the use of scripture? 34 God commanded Abraham, and Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham to wife. And why did she do it? Because this was the law; and from Hagar sprang many people. This, therefore, was fulfilling, among other things, the promises.
35 Was Abraham, therefore, under condemnation? Verily I say unto you, Nay; for I, the Lord, commanded it.
