I can totaly understand what you are saying, I don’t want to offend anyone.#1. I am not a Mormon.
#2. I do not play one on TV.
That being said, remember that proof denies faith. While I am not LDS, I am just pointing out that a straight out attack is both bad form and is highly unlikely to produce anything good.
I have many friends and family that are LDS. We have an agreement that I will pray for them and they will pray for me. I try to live my life as an example and they try to do likewise.
With family I offer suggestions of books to read, they do likewise.
Many of my friends in Utah are returned missionaries and so I can refer them to Chick Tracts and know that they will laugh. “Gasp!, They’re Mormons!” (The Visitors by Jack T. Chick)
It is possible to be pro-[denomination] without being anti-mormon. Prayer and friendship are the best tools.
My point exactly. But you will be surprised how catholics will now come to the thread and condemn mormonism. But who knows now that you sort of nipped this thread in the butt, it will just go away. But I doubt it.#1. I am not a Mormon.

What do you expect real Catholics to do, support the beliefs of mormonism? Think that they are God-given and not man made? We share many truths with Mormonism, however the things that we do not share (God the Father having a body of flesh and bones, The Father being married to the Heavenly Mother, temple ordinances, the need for prophets and apostles, etc.) are false, as we view the Catholic Church as being the fullness of Truth revealed by God. Likewise, Mormons will agree that we share various beliefs, however the ones that we do not (the traditional Trinity, the Real Presence, sacrificial priesthood, infant baptism) are false beliefs coming from the apostasy. My point exactly. Get over it.
You know the old doctor joke, don’t you?I can totaly understand what you are saying, I don’t want to offend anyone.
Well, I’ll have to think a bit before 'going away." It all depends upon who nipped me in the butt.My point exactly. But you will be surprised how catholics will now come to the thread and condemn mormonism. But who knows now that you sort of nipped this thread in the butt, it will just go away. But I doubt it.
No. Personally, I hope that they come in and follow your example. There is, after all, a huge difference between defending the Catholic faith, debating honest disagreements about doctrine----and all out nasty attacks, Jack Chick and Ed Decker style. (shrug)What do you expect real Catholics to do, support the beliefs of mormonism?
And that, m’friend is exactly what I’m talking about.Think that they are God-given and not man made? Please don’t leave dianaiad, we love you. Oh most holy Saint Dianaiad.dianaiad;5583445]

Ahem, that will be me. I am a good gardener, so nipping you in the bud will certainly not be difficult. It all depends upon who nipped me in the butt.
Never heard of it.You know the old doctor joke, don’t you?
the one where the patient comes in, waves his arm wildly around in a circle and says “Doctor, it hurts when I do that.”
The doctor replies “So…don’t do that.”
You bring a series of extremely offensive (and completely inaccurate)any-Mormon videos and websites, and then say you don’t want to offend anybody.
Ok…(you know the next line, right?)
Don’t do that.
There was no “great apostasy” and there is absolutely no proof of it either.No. Personally, I hope that they come in and follow your example. There is, after all, a huge difference between defending the Catholic faith, debating honest disagreements about doctrine----and all out nasty attacks, Jack Chick and Ed Decker style. (shrug)
And that, m’friend is exactly what I’m talking about.High five…
No.
…you talk in jargon, I have never heard of these; The Awful Disclosures of Maria Monk" and "Protocols of the Elders of Zion.No.
Been there.
Seen it.
You realize that this particular bit of asininity has been condemned by the National Conference of Christians and Jews, major divinity schools at Yale, Harvard…oh, shoot, nobody but CARM clones use it.
Oh, they don’t get all that bothered by the tone of the thing, but even the most rabid anti-Mormon with any claim to credibility knows that Decker’s version of Mormonism bears about as much similarity to the real thing as a bee does to a hummingbird.
I suggest, if you don’t want to offend anybody, you do one of two things. Either stop THIS stuff, or at least be an equal opportunity troll, and intruduce us all to “The Awful Disclosures of Maria Monk” and “Protocols of the Elders of Zion.”
Make it a hat-trick.
Oh.
“plonk.”
