I’m not talking about the actual act of translating documents; I’m talking about the removal of verses from the various translations or editions from the past three hundred years or so. If you examine the various translations, from old to new, you see differences. For example the King James Translation is short now by about 25% than it was originally. Also there are some bibles that have more books than the standard 66, as I’m sure you are aware of. So when I ask the question “which” Bible, I am saying there is more than one, all having their own axe to grind.

You seem a little confused about Bible history.

At the beginning of the Reformation, Martin Luther decided he had a problem with some of the books of the Bible. So he removed these books. For over a thousand years prior these books had been considered canon. They still are among Catholics. The “standard 66” Bible you’re talking about is the Protestant Bible, and that is the one that has been tampered with. Pick up a Catholic RSV and you’ve got a good translation with all the canon intact.
