In the Cathechism, it says that mortal sin kills charity. What does that mean, exactly? Does it mean you are unable to love?
My grandpa can’t receive the sacraments because of something he did. He’s still a very loving person so…I’m obviously not understanding what this means.

Thanks in advance 🙂

P.S.~ He, my grandpa, is currently battling cancer. He has many tumors which spread all over his body. He decided to forgo treatment. Please pray for him, that he may make a good confession and receive the sacraments again.

May God give your grandpa peace - peace with his cancer - peace within his pains - peace within his mind, body, and soul. May your grandpa be able to reach out to God and make a good confession. May he receive the sacraments of Confession, Communion, and Anointing of the Sick.

May you be at peace knowing that God is with your grandpa right now. May you be at peace as your grandpa battles this cancer. My your prayers assist your grandpa on his spiritual journey, drawing him back to God’s Sacraments.

Thank you.

Yesterday, my Mom told me that the doctors are only predicting anywhere between three days and two weeks left for him. All prayers are greatly appreciated.
