I wouldn’t think your soul is void of grace. The fact is that you have recognized your sin and want to go confess asap. Do you know that there are some people with mortal sins and yet deny to confess? However, being in a state of mortal sin will prevent you receiving more graces that God wants you to receive.I am currently in the state of mortal sin and will make my best effort to go to reconciliation ASAP. Since my soul is void of grace, can I still receive grace? The reason I ask is because I’ve felt a greater devotion to Mary, sometimes it feels as if as though i’m surrounded in deep love to Her. What do you guys think?
I sometimes have that thought too, “What’s the harm of doing it again if i’m already in that state?” Actually just got back from Reconciliation and the graces are already starting to pour in. Thanks for your thoughts guys!I don’t think you are void of grace since you can still try to not commit any future mortal sins. I probably should get to confession as well soon and am thinking what’s the point in not committing the same sin over and over again until I go to confession if I already may be in a state of mortal sin. However, I still try to avoid committing mortal sins even though I may already currently be in a state of mortal sin. Some grace has to be involved with that.
