Looking online everyone seems to say (and I agree) that lustful or bad dreams are not a sin as the person has no control over them. However, recently I had a lustful dream and I felt that I actually exercised free will in my dream. I felt that it was wrong in the dream, but I chose to do so. I wouldn’t call it a lucid dream (I think) since I thought it was real, but nevertheless I felt that what I was about to do was wrong yet I actually did it in the dream.

In this case, would it be a mortal sin?

Dreaming of exercising ones will is not exercising ones will it is dreaming of exercising ones will. Just as dreaming one is flying is not flying.

Your asleep right? And did not later consent when awake? (to thoughts etc)?

Did not will it…or did not seek for such to happen or seek to cause it (while awake)?

If such happens and one wakes up - simply turn your attention elsewhere and do not consent to anything.

No. A dream is a dream and nothing more. I never worry about dreams like this. Now if I have one about not breathing, well that one is usually a warning that my asthma is going to kick in a few days down the road. That one I pay attention too, make sure I take my inhalers to prevent attacks, and usually land up doing better.

If I ignore the dream, well I land up with an attack that is harder to treat and more dangerous. So I take dreams about health seriously. The others, not so much. They usually mean I ate too much, watched a stupid movie or am trying to solve a problem at home or work.

No. You could dream every night, for the rest of your life, that you are committing every mortal sin in the book, and it still will be only a dream and not sinful.
